PUERTO VALLARTA, Jal — The Participatory Ecological Zoning Plan for Puerto Vallart a is making progress and is currently in a key phase of content review and simplification, according to Dr. María del Carmen Anaya Corona, secretary of the Participatory Zoning Committee.
The original draft of over 1,000 pages is being condensed to around 100 pages to make it more accessible to the public, while preserving technical rigor and public participation. Key updates include territorial maps and the development of a public consultation portal.
The final document is expected by late August, with a full committee presentation in September. Afterward, it will go through official approval by the municipal council and be released for public review.
